WEB Essence Festival Returns for 2023!
Music, Film, and More at Annual Celebration of Black Culture
Essence Festival of Culture presented by Coca-Cola returns to New Orleans for its 28th year, bringing with it a star-studded lineup, impactful film screenings, and a vibrant marketplace.
The four-day festival, taking place from June 29 to July 2, will feature performances from Janet Jackson, Lizzo, and H.E.R., among others. The Essence Film Festival, presented by ESSENCE Studios, will showcase a diverse range of films by Black filmmakers.
In addition to the music and film offerings, the festival will host a series of panels and workshops on topics such as entrepreneurship, health and wellness, and social justice. The festival also features a vibrant marketplace where attendees can shop from a variety of Black-owned businesses.
“The Essence Festival is more than just a music festival,” said Essence CEO Michelle Ebanks. “It's a celebration of Black culture and a platform for us to come together and empower each other.”
